Josefalin - color

Righty, so, I'm currently writing a fan-fic sorta thing involving Gargoyles and one of my favorite books series, The Chronicles of Chrestomanci, and since Gargoyles are always so interesing-looking, I decided to draw little reference pictures of the main chara's in case anyone's particularly interested (and because I wanted to keep them straight in my own head ^_^)

This is Josefalin (pronounced: joseph-a-lean), and she's Destren's second-in-command of Desert Clan.

Josefalin is strong physically and stong willed. She does not take crap from anyone, especially those who think females are weaker than males; she will promptly prove them wrong. She is a little more wary of the humans than Destren is, as he is willing to trust anyone, but because of her trust in Destren, she is sorta forced to trust the humans as well. As a show of that trust, she allowed one human to know the location of the clan's rookery, where they keep their eggs and where the hatchlings stay until they are considered old enough to leave. She does have a kind hear though, underneathe all that toughness, and she's good friends with Sanr'd.

Her mate is Destren, and their relationship is kinda funny. They are very much in love with each other, but she feels that their relationship will get in the way of his responsibilities as clan leader, so she maintains her distance when they're around other clan members. She's also kinda likes her privacy, so she doesn't usually condone public displays of affection. Destren, on the other hand, doesn't see anything wrong with being affectionate in public. So much to Josefaline's chagrin, he insists on hugging her or holding her hand or kissing her when others are around.
