Qam

Righty, so, I'm currently writing a fan-fic sorta thing involving Gargoyles and one of my favorite books series, The Chronicles of Chrestomanci, and since Gargoyles are always so interesing-looking, I decided to draw little reference pictures of the main chara's in case anyone's particularly interested (and because I wanted to keep them straight in my own head ^_^)

This is Qam (pronounced like in 'camera' ), and he's a young hatchling of Desert Clan. (the reason why there are two names in the deviation is because I hadn't previously decided which his name would be, but now I've chosen one )(and despite their similarly beaky noses, he's not Akira's son. no relation whatsoever besides belonging to the same clan)

Hehe, he's probably a familiar face if you've seen some of my previous deviations. Qam, like Pann, is a little more cautious, but Qam is aalready starting to show some aptitude as a magic-user. Arelia will be both his magic and his fighting teacher when he reaches the age in which the hatchlings start their warrior training. In gargoyle clans, the clan as a whole raises the hatchlings. A child's biological parents don't matter so much; the entire clan takes charge of the feeing and the teaching and the protecting. It's a big community effort so everyone feels part of one big happy family.

Qam hangs out with his clan siblings Fayori, Pann, Fii and Risa the most of all the hatchlings. They're a tight-knit little group, and their preferred roost during the day time is a little grotto fairly high in the rookery cave, their claws making it easy to scale the walls to reach it. Niether he nor his fellow hatchlings are old enough to begin their training as warriors yet.
